Terms of Service

These terms are an agreement between you and Volomn LLC (“Volomn”, “we”, “us”), which runs Local League Soccer (“LLS”): the iPhone and Android apps, the web app at app.localleaguesoccer.com and this website. By creating an account or using LLS, you agree to them.

Our Privacy Policy explains how we handle your personal data.

1. Who can use LLS

You must be at least 13 to use LLS. If you're under 18, or under the age of majority where you live, you need a parent's or guardian's permission, and they accept these terms for you.

2. Your account

• Give accurate details and keep them up to date. Use your real name, so your teammates know who you are.
• One account per person. Don't create accounts for other people or pretend to be someone else.
• Keep your password safe; you're responsible for what happens on your account. If you sign in with Google or Apple, their terms apply to that account too.
• Tell us straight away at support@localleaguesoccer.com if you think someone else is using your account.

3. Clubs and games

• Clubs are created and run by their members, not by Volomn. A club's owner and admins decide who joins, set its rules and run its games, and are responsible for how they do it.
• Only invite people who want to be invited. Only add someone as a guest player if they're happy to appear in the club.
• Owners, admins and organisers can manage members, games, teams and results. That includes settling disputed match events and confirming results, which then count towards everyone's stats and ratings.
• Ratings, player cards, awards and reputation are worked out from what members report and vote. They're opinions and estimates for fun and fair teams, not official assessments of anyone's ability.

4. Playing safely

LLS helps you organise games; it doesn't organise, host or supervise them. Volomn isn't responsible for venues, equipment, conduct on the pitch, injuries or anything else that happens at a game. Football is a contact sport: you take part at your own risk, and it's up to you to be fit to play and to follow the venue's rules and local laws.

5. Fees and payments

Organisers can record game fees and who has paid, but LLS doesn't take or hold any money. Payments are made directly between members, and any dispute about them is between those members. LLS is free while it's in early access. If we introduce paid features, we'll show the price and any extra terms before you buy.

6. Your content

You own what you put into LLS: your profile, photos, reports, votes and anything else you post (“your content”). You give Volomn a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to host, store, copy, display and adapt your content only to run, improve and protect LLS. This includes showing it to the members of your clubs. The licence ends when your content is deleted, except where it stays in a club's history as described in the Privacy Policy.

Only post content you have the right to share. Get someone's permission before you post a photo of them.

7. Fair play

LLS only works if people are honest. You agree not to:

• Report events you didn't see, or report false events or results on purpose.
• Game the ratings, votes or scouting, for example by coordinating votes, rating dishonestly or using extra accounts.
• Fake your location, or check in for a game you're not at.
• Harass, threaten, bully or discriminate against anyone, or post hateful, sexual, violent or illegal content.
• Use LLS for gambling or betting.
• Collect other people's data, scrape or overload the service, get around its security, or reverse-engineer the apps, except where the law allows.
• Use LLS to break the law or anyone's rights.

8. Enforcement

Club admins can remove members from their clubs. If someone breaks these terms, contact your club's admins or email us.

If we reasonably believe you've broken these terms, we may remove content, limit what you can do, or suspend or close your account, for example to protect other users or because the law requires it. Where it's reasonable, we'll tell you why. If you think we got it wrong, contact us.

9. The service

We're always improving LLS, so features will change. We may add or remove features, or stop parts of the service. We'll give you reasonable notice before any change that significantly affects you, where we can. We work to keep LLS running, but we can't promise it will always be available or free of errors.

Volomn owns LLS: the apps, website, design, brand and software. These terms give you a personal, non-transferable right to use LLS as intended. You can't copy, sell or resell it.

10. App stores

If you get LLS from the Apple App Store or Google Play, their terms also apply. These terms are between you and Volomn, not Apple or Google. Volomn, not Apple or Google, is responsible for LLS and for supporting it. Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these terms and may enforce them against you.

11. Disclaimers and limitation of liability

LLS is provided “as is” and “as available”. As far as the law allows, we give no warranties, express or implied, including that LLS will meet your needs, be error-free or always be available.

As far as the law allows, Volomn won't be liable for indirect, incidental, special or consequential losses, or for lost profits, data or goodwill. We're also not liable for what other users do on or off LLS. Our total liability to you for any claim about LLS is limited to the greater of what you paid us in the 12 months before the claim and US$50.

Nothing in these terms limits liability that can't be limited by law, or takes away rights you have as a consumer under the laws of the country you live in.

You agree to cover Volomn's reasonable losses from claims caused by your content or your breaking these terms, as far as the law allows.

12. Ending your account

You can stop using LLS and delete your account at any time in the app (Profile → Delete account). If you own a club with other members, you'll need to hand it over first. We may close your account as described in section 8. The sections on your content, disclaimers and liability, and governing law continue to apply after your account ends.

13. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Wyoming, USA, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules. Disputes go to the state or federal courts in Wyoming. If you're a consumer, you may also have the right to bring a claim in your own country's courts and under its laws, and nothing here takes that away.

If any part of these terms can't be enforced, the rest still applies. Not enforcing a term straight away doesn't mean we've given up the right to.

14. Changes and contact

We may update these terms. We'll change the date at the top, and if a change is significant, we'll let you know in the app before it takes effect. If you keep using LLS after that, you accept the new terms. If you don't agree, you can delete your account.
