Privacy Policy
Last updated 4 October 2026
Local League Soccer (“LLS”) turns your regular game of football into a game: your club plans games, logs what happens in each match, votes on the day and builds everyone a player card. This policy explains what personal data we collect to do that, why, who can see it and the choices you have.
In short: we collect what the app needs to run your club and your games. We don't sell your data, we don't show ads, and we don't send marketing email.
1. Who we are
LLS is run by Volomn LLC, a company registered in Wyoming, USA (“Volomn”, “we”, “us”). This policy covers the LLS apps for iPhone and Android, the web app at app.localleaguesoccer.com and this website. Volomn is the controller of the personal data described here.
Questions or requests: support@localleaguesoccer.com.
2. What we collect
Your account
- Your first and last name, email address and password (stored only as a secure hash, never in plain text). A phone number if you choose to add one.
- If you sign in with Google or Apple: the name and email address they share with us and an account identifier from them. If you use Apple's “Hide My Email”, we only receive a private relay address. We never receive your Google or Apple password.
- Your language, notification settings and when you last used the app.
Your player profile
Everything here is up to you, and most of it is optional: a profile photo, your positions, your stronger foot, shirt number and name, height, weight, date of birth, nationality and gender. Your positions and stronger foot help the app pick fair teams.
What you do in your clubs
- The clubs you join or create and your role in them, your RSVPs, attendance, check-ins and anything you pay or owe for a game, as your organiser records it (LLS doesn't process payments).
- What you report during matches (goals, assists, cards and other events) and your answers to other people's reports.
- Your game-day votes, the ratings you give teammates and your scouting ratings. These are anonymous to other members.
- What the app works out from all this: your stats, match ratings, skill rating, player card and reporting reputation.
- Invites you send. If you invite someone by email, we store their address to send the invite.
From other people
Other members may report match events involving you, rate you after a game or scout you. A club admin may add you as a guest player by name before you join; if you later accept that invite, the guest's games and stats become yours.
Your device and our servers
- A push notification token for your phone and its platform (iOS or Android), so we can send you notifications.
- Our servers record technical logs such as your IP address, app version and the requests your device makes. We use them to keep the service running and secure.
This website
This website uses an analytics service, which sets cookies, to count visits and see how people find the app. We don't use advertising or tracking cookies. The LLS apps don't use analytics.
3. Location
LLS only asks for your location while you're using the app, and only for these things:
- Checking in to a game. We check you're at the venue and save your position and distance from the pitch with your check-in.
- Reporting a match event. We check you're at the venue. We don't save this position.
- Setting a venue. An admin can drop the club venue's pin at where they're standing.
LLS never tracks your location in the background. You can turn location off in your phone's settings at any time; you'll then need someone in charge of the game to check you in.
4. How we use your data
- To run the service you signed up for: your account, your clubs, games, teams, match reporting, votes, ratings and player cards.
- To keep it fair: checking presence at the venue, weighing reports and working out reputation, and spotting abuse or cheating.
- To contact you: push notifications (which you can turn off by type in the app) and service emails, such as verification codes, password resets, club invites and join approvals. We don't send marketing email.
- To keep LLS secure and working, fix problems and understand how the website is used.
- To meet legal obligations and respond to lawful requests.
Where laws such as Nigeria's Data Protection Act or the EU and UK GDPR apply, we rely on these legal bases:
- Running the service: performing our contract with you.
- Fairness, security and improvement: our legitimate interests.
- Location and website analytics cookies: your consent, which you can withdraw at any time.
- Meeting legal duties: legal obligation.
We don't sell your personal data and we don't use it for advertising.
5. Who can see what
Clubs on LLS are private: only members see a club and its games.
- Members of your clubs see your name, nickname, photo, positions, stronger foot, shirt number and name, nationality, when you joined, your stats, player card, form and reporting badge, plus what you reported in matches.
- Members never see your email, phone number, date of birth, height, weight or gender. Your gender is shown only to you.
- Votes, teammate ratings and scouting ratings are anonymous: members see the results, not who gave which rating.
- Club owners and admins also see the club's activity log (who did what in the club) and the details of people asking to join.
- Anyone with an invite link can see the club's name, photo, description and number of members before joining.
- The LLS team can access data where needed to support you, run the service and deal with abuse.
6. Service providers
We use trusted service providers to run LLS: for hosting, storage and backups, sending service emails, delivering push notifications and app updates, maps, venue weather forecasts and website analytics. If you sign in with Google or Apple, they also handle that sign-in. These providers process data only on our instructions or to provide their service, and only receive what they need. Weather forecasts, for example, only get the venue's location, never anything about you.
We may also share data if the law requires it, to protect the rights and safety of our users or others, or as part of a sale or reorganisation of our business, in which case this policy continues to apply.
7. Where your data is kept
Our servers and database are in the European Union. Some providers may process data in other countries, including the United States. Where the law requires it, we rely on safeguards such as the European Commission's standard contractual clauses for these transfers.
8. How long we keep it
We keep your data while you have an account. You can delete your account at any time in the app (Profile → Delete account). When you do:
- Your name, email, phone, photos and profile details are deleted. Your sessions, devices and linked Google or Apple sign-in end; we also ask Apple to revoke the app's access.
- You leave every club. Past results, goals and awards stay in your clubs' history but show you as “Former player”, so your teammates' records stay complete.
- Votes and ratings you already gave stay, anonymously.
- Database backups are kept for 30 days, after which deleted data is gone from them too.
If you own a club that has other members, you'll first need to make one of them the owner.
9. Your rights and choices
- Access and correct: you can see and edit your profile in the app at any time.
- Delete: delete your account in the app, or email us.
- Copy: email us for a copy of your personal data.
- Object or restrict: ask us to stop or limit some uses of your data.
- Withdraw consent: turn off location or notifications in your phone's settings, turn off notification types in the app, or clear cookies for this website.
Email support@localleaguesoccer.com to use any of these rights. We'll reply within one month. You can also complain to your data protection authority; in Nigeria, that's the Nigeria Data Protection Commission.
10. Children
LLS isn't meant for children under 13, and they may not create an account. If you're 13 to 17, you need a parent's or guardian's permission to use LLS. If you believe a child under 13 has given us personal data, contact us and we'll delete it.
11. Security
We protect your data with encryption in transit (HTTPS), hashed passwords, restricted access to our systems and regular backups. No service can be perfectly secure, so please use a strong password and let us know if you notice anything suspicious.
12. Changes and contact
If we change this policy, we'll update the date at the top. If a change is significant, we'll also let you know in the app before it takes effect.
